JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for maintaining assembly equipment and facility.  Works in a Just in Time environment to prevent equipment issues from causing line stoppages.  Ensures build continuity through preventative maintenance, issue troubleshooting/mitigation, repair and fabrication. Utilizes multiple disciplines mechanical, electrical, pneumatics. Must be available to work on days, afternoons or midnights.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS

•    Licensed Industrial Electrician 442A or has completed the apprentice hours preferred
•    5 – 10 years PLC experience preferably RSLogix 5000 or SLC500 recommended
•    Pneumatic controls experience recommended
•    Fanuc Robotic programming recommended
•    Keyence vision systems recommended
•    Minimum 2 year Electrical Technician College Diploma- required
•    Trade certifications preferred
•    Previous JIT experience
 

CORE COMPETENCIES

•    Problem solving:  Ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems for quick fixes and long term solutions.
•    Skills; Ability to do machine repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
•    Communications:  Ability to relate maintenance issues and solutions to the entire plant team.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Works to meet all safety, cost, and quality objectives
•    Immediately attends to all equipment issues affecting production
•    Implement long term corrective actions to machine issues
•    Troubleshoots equipment with PLC’s, Ethernet controls, vision systems, robots grease and pneumatics
•    Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility
•    Maintains spare parts crib utilizing the web-based software for PM’s and spare parts
•    Ability to drive a fork lift to perform maintenance duties
•    Ability to drive a scissor lift / genie boom to perform maintenance duties
•    Facilitates production improvements and complete assigned projects
•    Installs new equipment
•    Maintains good housekeeping practices (5S)
•    Maintains safe working practices and compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations
•    Performs all duties in accordance with IATF and ISO 14001
•    Coordinates with the off shift to inform them of problems/issues
•    Duties as required and assigned by the supervisor
