About the Role

Coordinates activities of maintenance staff engaged in the set-up, installation, repair and maintenance of company facilities, manufacturing equipment and fixtures.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Understanding of Robotic applications and programming. Robotic weld and Automated assembly cells
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum five (5) years hands on experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Good understanding of electromechanical systems
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Basic understanding of the computer
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills
  • Be prepared to occasional after hours call-in and personnel delegation in crisis situations
  • Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control
  • Must have ability to work well under pressure
  • Must have proven ability that above noted knowledge can be applied on a practical level

Who we are looking for

  • Knowledge in MIG, spot and projection welding  
  • Knowledge in pneumatics
  • Knowledge in PLC’s and programming  
  • Knowledge of HMI programming
  • Automotive manufacturing experience

Your Responsibilities

  • Begin your shift at least 15 minutes earlier than your reports in order to allow you time to communicate with the previous shift and prepare the tasks for your team
  • Co-ordinate and distribute work to Robot Techs on all shifts and ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner
  • Maintain critical spare parts inventory and order parts as required, follow up with Toolroom/Maintenance manager’s approval
  • Participate, encourage Continuous Improvements project to reduce Downtime
  • Work will all champions to ensure open issues are tracked and is closed in a timely manner
  • Flexible work schedule to support Team members across all shifts 
  • Use MVP Plant to track and Maintain predictive planning and projects
  • Create and Manage Predictive Maintenance Plan for all work cells, ensure all Team members are engaged with development of spares required and Predictive scheduling. Work with all Team members to ensure Predictive Maintenance is completed on time
  • Monitor the condition of the parts inventory areas, monitor and enforce the housekeeping in this area
  • Ensure all weld programs are backed up, schedules are up to date and PM check completed and Maintained
  • Communicate with all area managers and leaders as well as operators and your team in a professional manner at all times
  • Ensure that all P/M’s are carried out in a timely manner and that they do not fall into the overdue status
  • Attend maintenance meetings and contribute to these meetings with valuable input whenever possible encourage Team engagement
  • Carry out repairs to equipment within your field of expertise as required
  • Attend design review for NEW work cells and support run at rates.  Create open issues and assign Champions
  • Service and Maintenance for all Robots and Controllers
  • Optimize Robot paths for smooth movements and reduced cycle times
