Role Summary

  • Check all incoming releases on a daily basis. 
  • Prepare the paper work for the daily shipments

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Grade 12 Diploma and/or equivalent working experience
  • Valid Fork Lift operating license
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience as a Shipper/Receiver in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Must possess strong computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) 
  • Knowledge of FCA, GM, Ford, Allison Transmission (PC portal II, SMART system, GM/ Ford Covisint, DDL, FCSD, SNC, GM Supplypower) considered an asset. As well as, Toyota one way Kanban and LIOS applications.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of related procedures, instructions and automotive industry EDI, Trans4M and familiar with MRP system
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be reliable
  • Must be flexible with working hours and breaks
  • Willing to take responsibility for their work and respond to company needs; i.e. work overtime (overlapping shifts/weekends/holidays etc.) as required to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check all incoming releases on a daily basis. Prepare the paper work for the daily shipments
  • Monitor all ASN’s before and after sent.
  • Store the dunnage in the respective place or outside.
  • Offload all the raw materials from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Weigh all incoming forges and randomly all other blanks
  • Prepare finished goods from the production (wrap/strap and place them on the Finished Goods Area).
  • Maintain outside shelter and keep organized
  • Prepare boxes and skids for parts and service and organize the shipment 
  • Monitor FCA Esupplierconnect, GM supply Power, Ford DDL, Ford FCSD Supplier Network Collaboration (SNC), Ford SuperG, Toyota applications, GMCCA/APPS
  • Perform other assignments from time to time as management so directs
  • Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook
  • Comply and participate in MSM Monthly Health & Safety QuizSuggestions and Continuous Improvement program.
